i slamed my kittens paw in the sliding door on accident
l didnt mean to l was juss closing the door then he put his paw in at the
last minute and it got caught he make a really big scream then he ran to
my room got on the bed and hissed at me l picked him up and his tail was
curled under his ears were flat and his eyes were so sad l gave him a
treat and said im sorry a bunch of times then l held him then he started
purring when l peted him l took him down staires and gave him a can of wet
cat food (beef) does he hate me for slamming his paw in the door cause l did not mean to im freakin out l can not have another animal hate me wut should l do to gain his trust back????????? btw: he can walk on his paw prefectly fine
I doubt if your cat is going to hold a grudge against you for
very long.He more than likely blames the door and not you.
It seems like you've done a fine job of gaining your kittens
trust back, hon.
I shut our door on the base of my cat is tail once. it swelled
up and got infected. He is the nicest cat in the world. I doubt he
remembers. Don't be such a cry baby about it. unless you are beating
your cat, then it will be fine.
It happens & believe me its happened to me where I have
acidentally steped on their paw since it was dark & they were following me
& one time there head almost got stuck in the door another time my kitten
got his paw stuck in the cat door & i helped him get his paw out & through
all those events I thought my cat would hate me but i noticed that cats can
sense ur emotions, & even though they hisss & make really loud cries they
still love you, youll see that by tomorrow they will be friendly just the same. YOu will gain the trust of ur cat back really fast however what you are doing is not exactly necessary, you are in somewhat of a case spoiling ur cat & well I understand taht you want him to like you again but dont get accustomed on doing that because it will be like training & the cat will think that hissing at you is a trick & will hiss whenever he wants alot of attention, treats & wet food. But try to be close to him & let him walk a while if he wants to be alone dont be forceful & let him be alone he will come with you when he wants to play or be petted I hope this helps. And dont stress over it too much cats are very smart. (alot smarter than dogs)
You are more traumatized than your kitten.
Animals bite. it is not mean or meant to personally hurt you. It is
nature. If this cat bites you for any reason. don't take it out on him.
Show love & you will get it in return.
don't freak out it is just like steppen on your cats paw i did
it 1 time before my cat scream and she hissed and the next day she was all
over me your cat is going to be fine when she goes to sleep and wake up she
will feel much better but your cat still love you accidents happen so it is
going to be okay
Oh honey, your kitty has probably forgotten the incident
already- you did a great job of letting him know it was an accident-don't
worry-I've accidently hurt my cats before and they still love me- I am
glad his paw is ok
